First Impressions of the ZOTAC MEK AI Gaming Desktop
I recently bought the ZOTAC MEK AI Gaming Desktop after reading some reviews, but I have a few questions. The setup was straightforward, but I noticed that the AI features seem promising for optimizing performance. However, I ran into an issue where the system randomly freezes during high loads, which is frustrating. Has anyone experienced similar problems or can share their initial impressions? Should I keep it or consider returning it? I’m mainly interested in gaming and AI tasks.

I think ZOTAC's AI features are promising, but I’ve heard some units have overheating issues. Did you notice anything like that?

Honestly, I was considering this desktop but heard the thermals can be tricky. How's your experience with temps during gaming?

I had a different problem—my system's fan noise is quite loud. Does anyone else experience this? Is it normal?

David, yes, mine gets loud under load too. I think it's just the cooling system working hard. Not ideal, but manageable.

For gaming performance, how does it compare to custom builds with similar specs? Worth the premium?

I think the AI features are the main selling point, but if you're only gaming, maybe a custom build could be better value.

Have you tried using the AI optimization during gaming? Does it really boost performance noticeably?

Ben, I tried it once. It does improve frame rates a bit, but I prefer manual tweaking for consistent results.

Overall, do you think the MEK AI is a good buy? Or would you recommend waiting for a newer model or different brand?
I own the MEK AI and haven't had freezing issues. Maybe it's a software update needed? Did you install all the latest drivers?
Mike, that's a good point. I had similar problems initially but updating the BIOS and GPU drivers helped a lot.
