Gtheos Wireless Headset for PS5: Sound Profile Deep Dive
I recently bought the Gtheos Wireless Gaming Headset for my PS5, but I’m running into a bit of confusion about its sound profile. The bass feels a bit overpowering during some games, and the treble isn’t as clear as I hoped. I was expecting a more balanced sound for different game types, especially for immersive experiences.
Has anyone here tested this headset thoroughly? Does it offer a customizable sound profile or equalizer settings? Should I consider adjusting it via software or firmware? Would love some insights before I decide if I should keep it or look for alternatives.

I found the sound profile quite neutral out of the box. Maybe your settings are defaulted to a bass-heavy profile? Try switching to a balanced preset.

Mike, do all the presets sound good? I prefer something that doesn’t distort at high volumes.

I had similar issues with bass overpowering the mids. I used the app to reduce the bass slightly and boost the mids — made a big difference.

Does anyone know if the headset supports software updates? Maybe there's firmware that improves sound quality.

Anna, I think it does. I checked the app, and there’s an update option, but I haven't tried it yet.

For me, the sound profile is fine, but the comfort isn't great for long gaming sessions. Anyone else?

Comfort is subjective, but I agree some users complain about the ear cups. You might want to try different ear pads if possible.

I’m curious about the mic quality. Anyone tested it in team chats or streaming? How's the clarity?

Sophie, mic quality is decent but not studio quality. It’s good enough for casual gaming, though.

Does the wireless connection have latency issues? I’ve read some reviews mentioning lag during fast-paced games.

I haven't experienced lag myself, but I make sure to keep the firmware updated. That might help.

Can the headset connect to other devices? I like the idea of using it with my PC or Switch too.

Olivia, yes, it supports multi-platform use via Bluetooth and wireless dongle. Just check compatibility for your devices.

Has anyone tried the battery life? Is it good for long gaming marathons?
I own this headset, and yes, it has customizable EQ settings through the app. You might want to tweak the bass and treble to match your preference.
John, does adjusting the EQ really make a noticeable difference? I’ve heard some headsets don’t have much impact.
