He was extremely friendly’ – встреча футбольной академии с главным тренером сборной Англии Томасом Тухелем

A football academy in Tividale has met England head coach Thomas Tuchel as part of a trip to the St George’s Park National Football Centre.

Starz Academy’s under-11 team visited the home of England’s national men’s, women’s, and para football teams in Burton upon Trent and had the opportunity to meet and quiz the German head coach.

According to Starz Academy’s owner Richard Taylor, Tuchel was ‘extremely friendly’ and happy to answer all of the young footballer’s questions about his job and his preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

The team also had the opportunity to meet England’s performance manager, Steve Kemp, and were given tours of the St George’s Park complex before taking part in a small training session.

“Starz Academy FC U11 boys were invited to St George’s Park through the Chase Football Coaching Programme, there they were shown around the complex by two members of the FA staff and also had a small training session on one of the Astroturf pitches,” Richard said.

“They were shown around the futsal area as well as the recovery and hydro centre.

“They then had the opportunity to meet and chat with England’s performance manager Steve Kemp, who was amazing with them and answered a number of questions, then the highlight of the day was the chance to meet and question head coach Thomas Tuchel.

“He was extremely friendly and was happy to answer all questions from our players and coaching staff about all aspects of his job and his preparation for the World Cup.

“They were then supplied with lunch before a few photo opportunities and heading home.

“All in all a fantastic opportunity for the young side and coaches, and a fantastic experience.
