Hunt for mystery $15 million Oz Lotto winner: ‘Fantastic
A search for the sole winner of a mega $15 million Oz Lotto jackpot continues.
The lucky ticket was sold in Western Australia, but the Australian who claimed the entire prize has yet to claim their new-found fortune.
What we know about the instant multi-millionaire is that they did not buy their ticket in a newsagent.
Tuesday night’s winning ticket was sold through Lotterywest Play Online.
The winning numbers were 18, 24, 45, 6, 2, 47 and 25 and the supplementary numbers were 3, 22 and 10.
Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the life-changing win is WA’s first Oz Lotto Division One win of 2026.
“It’s fantastic to celebrate another Division One OZ Lotto win in WA,” she said.
But it’s not the only big win in WA this year.
In December, a Perth couple also won a $15 million Oz Lotto prize, “all thanks to a ticket using their favourite numbers” Wender added.
The couple, from Perth’s northern suburbs, usually buys a Slikpik ticket, where the numbers are randomly generated, but they decided to switch things up and play their favourite numbers.
Surprising reaction to $40 million Oz Lotto win
Last month, a NSW man woke up to the news that he’d won $40 million. He too held the only division one winning entry in the Oz Lotto draw.
He learned of his win the following morning after receiving a call from the Lott’s Matt Hart.
“He was so happy and also quite emotional when talking about how he’s going to support his family,” said Hart.
“His family is clearly his world and top priority and he can’t wait to give them all a helping hand.”
Data released by The Lott last year revealed that 38 per cent of major prize winners shared their winnings with family and friends.

Oz Lotto’s ‘hot and cold’ numbers
Last year, we shared the most commonly drawn numbers in Oz Lotto draws.
They include 47, 21, 28 and 33, while numbers like 34, 26, 45 and 43 have been far less frequent.
In 2024, over three-quarters of all Oz Lotto division one wins came from QuickPick entries, where numbers are randomly generated by the terminal. Nearly a third (five out of 17) of the year’s big winners used System entries, which let players select more numbers in a single game for greater coverage.
