Is the ASUS TUF TF120 ARGB Fan Good for a White Build?

I’m in the process of building a sleek white PC and want to add some good-looking fans. I recently came across the ASUS TUF Gaming TF120 ARGB fan and liked its design, but I’m unsure about its performance and durability. Has anyone here used it? Does it fit well with a white-themed build? I’m considering whether to get this or look for other options. Should I go for it or choose something else?

I have these fans in my build, and they look amazing with the white case. Performance is solid, and the ARGB sync works great.

Mike, do they get noisy at high RPMs? I'm worried about noise levels.

I used them in my last build. They are quite bright and look clean, but I found the installation a bit tricky.

Are they compatible with all motherboards' ARGB controls? My motherboard has a different ARGB header.

I think they only work with ASUS's Aura Sync. Check your motherboard if it supports that.

I've heard some users mention that the fan blades are a bit fragile. Anyone experienced this?

Daniel, I haven't had that issue. They seem pretty sturdy to me.

How's the airflow? Do they move enough air for a high-performance build?

In my experience, they are decent for airflow, but if you're overclocking, you might want higher CFM fans.

Are they worth the price? I saw some cheaper ARGB fans that look similar.

They are a bit pricier, but the build quality seems better than some of the cheaper options.

Do they come with enough screws and accessories for easy installation? I hate hunting for missing parts.

Yes, they include all necessary screws and adapters. No issues there.

Are they compatible with third-party fan controllers or just ASUS Aura Sync?

Brian
Brian

Olivia, they primarily work with ASUS Aura, but some third-party controllers might work if they support standard ARGB headers.

How's the longevity? Any reports of fans failing after a few months?

Matt
Matt

Mine have been running smoothly for over six months, no issues so far.

Would you recommend these for someone building a silent PC? I prefer quieter fans.

George
George

Natalie, they aren't super loud but not the quietest either. For silence, look for fans with lower dBA ratings.

Are the fans PWM controlled? I want to set custom fan curves.

Jason
Jason

Yes, they are PWM fans, so you can control speeds via your motherboard or software.
