Is the Aula F75 the Smoothest Gasket Mount Under $100?
Lately I’ve been diving into budget-friendly mechanical keyboards and came across the Aula F75. From what I’ve read, it uses a gasket mount design, which is supposed to give a really soft, plush typing experience. Honestly, I’ve never used a gasket mount before, so I’m curious if this really makes that much of a difference.
I’ve seen some reviews saying the F75 feels super smooth and comfortable, but others mention it can be a bit inconsistent or hollow-sounding. I’m mainly after that smooth, cushiony feel for long typing sessions, and I don’t want to spend more than $100.
Has anyone here actually used the Aula F75? If so, does it live up to the hype as the smoothest gasket mount keyboard in this price range? Or are there better options I should consider? Would love to hear real-world experiences before I pull the trigger on this one.

I have the F75, and I think the typing feel is quite nice. It’s not as premium as higher-end boards, but for the price, it’s pretty decent.

I read the same reviews about the hollow sound. Does anyone have tips on how to improve sound or feel?

I’d also consider the Keychron Q1. It’s a bit more expensive but offers gasket mounting with hot-swappable switches. Might be worth saving up a little more.

David, the Q1 is great, but I think it’s over $100 now. The Aula F75 is more budget-friendly, which is why I’m interested.

I’ve tried both. The F75 is good, but I actually prefer the Royal Kludge RK68 for a similar price. Slightly different feel, but very smooth.

Does the gasket mount on the F75 make a noticeable difference compared to standard plate-mounted keyboards?

Laura, yes, in my experience, gasket mounts soften the bottom-out feel and reduce vibrations. But they aren’t always perfectly implemented, so it varies by model.

Would you guys recommend just trying the F75 first, or should I spend a bit more for something like the Keychron or Royal Kludge?
I’ve used the Aula F75 for a few weeks. The gasket mount definitely adds a softer feel, but I wouldn’t say it’s the absolute smoothest. It’s comfortable, though.
John, how does it compare to other gasket mount keyboards you've tried? Is it worth the $90 price tag?
