Is the CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme with RTX 3060 Worth It?
I recently bought the CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme with the RTX 3060, and I’ve run into some questions. Initially, I was excited about the specs and the price point, thinking it would handle most modern games easily. But after setting it up and trying to run a few titles, I noticed some inconsistencies in performance, especially with newer AAA games that are supposed to be quite demanding.
Also, I encountered some issues with the cooling system — it seems louder than I expected, and I’m worried about overheating during long gaming sessions. I’ve read mixed reviews online, so I’m wondering: **Should I keep this PC or consider upgrading components?** Has anyone else experienced similar problems or has advice on optimizing this build for better performance?

I had some cooling issues too, but I replaced the stock thermal paste and added an extra fan. Now it’s much quieter and cooler.

Are you guys using any specific software to monitor temps? I recommend HWMonitor or MSI Afterburner to keep an eye on temperatures.

In my experience, the RTX 3060 is solid in this build, but the CPU can bottleneck some games. You might want to check your CPU usage during gaming.

Alex, good point, I noticed CPU usage spikes while gaming. Do you think upgrading the CPU would help? Or is it better to just optimize settings?

In my opinion, the build is good for casual gaming, but if you want to push higher settings, maybe upgrade the GPU or CPU down the line.

I’ve had mine for 6 months, and I haven’t experienced any overheating. Make sure your case has good airflow — sometimes the stock setup isn’t enough.

Sophie, do you have any tips for improving airflow without spending too much? I’m thinking of case fans or rearranging cables.

Before upgrading components, try optimizing your game settings and updating all drivers. Sometimes software updates fix a lot of issues.

Kevin, that’s true. Also, check if the power supply is adequate. Sometimes performance issues stem from insufficient power delivery.
I have the same setup, and honestly, it runs pretty well for the price. Make sure your drivers are up to date, that can make a big difference.
Mike, good point. Did you notice any overheating or loud fans? I’ve been thinking about adding more case fans.
