Is the NZXT Lift 2 Symm Worth It for Speed Testing?
I recently bought the NZXT Lift 2 Symm gaming mouse, mainly for its symmetrical design and supposed precision. After using it for a few days, I noticed that the speed response seems inconsistent during quick flicks or rapid movements. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if it’s just me.
I’m trying to decide if I should keep it or return it, especially since I was excited about the advertised performance. Has anyone done a detailed speed test or used it for competitive gaming? Would love to hear your thoughts on its responsiveness and overall performance.
Should I run my own speed tests or is there something I should look out for before making a decision?

I’ve done speed tests on mine, and it’s pretty consistent. Maybe your surface is affecting the glide?

I had similar issues initially. Switching to a different mouse pad helped a lot with speed consistency.

Is it mainly an issue during fast flicks or slow movements? Might be a DPI setting problem.

Sam, I think it’s more noticeable during rapid movements. DPI was set to auto, and I turned it manually; helped a bit.

I tested mine with some speed analysis software. The response time was within normal ranges, so maybe it’s a hardware defect?

Could be worth testing on a different PC or USB port. Sometimes power issues cause latency.

I’ve had a similar problem with other mice. For me, disabling some background programs improved responsiveness.

Drew, that’s interesting. Did you also try changing polling rates or sensitivity settings?

For what it’s worth, I love the Lift 2 Symm. No speed issues here, but I use a textured mouse pad for better control.

Avery, same here. Maybe the surface or setup makes a difference. Have you tested it in different environments?

Overall, I’d say run some tests yourself, try different surfaces, and check for firmware updates before deciding to return it.
I’ve used it for a couple of weeks and didn’t notice any speed issues. Maybe try calibrating it or updating the firmware?
Alex, good point. Firmware updates can sometimes solve responsiveness problems. Did you notice any delay after updating?
