Is the Sceptre 32-inch Curved Monitor Good for Gaming?
I’ve been eyeing the Sceptre 32-inch Curved Monitor for a while now, mainly because of its size and curved design. I mostly play competitive shooters and want a monitor that offers fast response times and good image quality. But after reading some reviews, I’m not entirely sure if this model is suitable for high-level gaming or if it might have some pitfalls.
I ran into a problem recently when I bought a different monitor that turned out to have input lag issues, which really hurt my gameplay. Now, I want to avoid that with my next purchase. I’ve heard mixed opinions about Sceptre monitors — some say they’re great for the price, others warn about build quality and color accuracy.
So, should I get this monitor for competitive gaming? Does anyone have experience with it, especially in fast-paced games? Would love some honest advice before I make the leap.

I've used it for a few months. For the price, it’s solid, but don’t expect it to compete with high-end gaming monitors. The contrast is decent, though.

I think it’s a good choice if you're on a budget. Response time is around 5ms, which is acceptable for most competitive games.

Can anyone comment on the input lag? That’s my main concern for fast-paced shooters.

Anna, I didn’t notice any significant lag, but I also use a high-quality gaming PC. It’s not a high-end monitor, but it does the job.

Does the curved screen make a difference in competitive gaming? I’ve only used flat monitors.

Laura, some say curved screens enhance immersion, but in competitive settings, it’s more about responsiveness and clarity.

I've heard some models have issues with backlight bleed. Anyone experienced that with the Sceptre?

James, I’ve got mine for a few months and haven’t noticed any backlight bleed.

Is the resolution 1080p or 1440p? That makes a big difference for clarity.

Brian, it’s 1080p, which might be a downside if you’re used to higher resolutions for sharper images.

Would you recommend this monitor over a more expensive one for competitive gaming?

Tom, if budget is tight, it’s a decent option. But if you want top-tier performance, you might need to spend more.

How about refresh rate? Is it 75Hz or higher? That’s important for smooth gameplay.

George, it’s 75Hz, which is okay but not ideal for some competitive gamers who prefer 144Hz.

I think for casual competitive gaming, it’s fine. But for serious eSports, you might want something with higher refresh rates.

Adam, agree. Still, if you’re on a budget, this monitor can be a good starting point.

Thanks everyone, this helps a lot. I’ll weigh the pros and cons before deciding.
I have the Sceptre 32-inch and it’s actually pretty good for gaming. Response time is decent, and I haven't experienced noticeable input lag.
Mike, how's the color accuracy and build quality? That's what worries me most.
Sarah, I’ve read that Sceptre monitors can vary a lot. Some users have issues with durability, but the gaming performance is usually okay.
