Is the Turtle Beach Recon 50 Good for Cross-Platform?
I recently bought the Turtle Beach Recon 50, mainly for gaming on my PC and Xbox. At first, I thought it would be a good budget option, but after some use, I noticed some issues. The sound quality seems a bit off, especially on my Xbox. I also find the mic a little uncomfortable after long sessions.
Now I’m wondering, should I keep it for cross-platform gaming or look for something else? Has anyone else experienced similar problems? Would love some honest opinions before making a switch.

I have the Recon 50 and use it with my Xbox and PC. Honestly, the sound is okay, but I find the ear cups a bit small and uncomfortable after long gaming sessions. Does anyone else feel the same?

John, yes, I had the same problem. The ear cups are quite tight. I ended up replacing the ear cushions with some third-party ones for better comfort.

For cross-platform use, I’d recommend investing in something with better sound and comfort. The Recon 50 is fine for casual gaming but not for long sessions or serious use.

Laura, I have the HyperX Cloud Stinger. It’s comfortable, and the sound is pretty good for the price. It works well across PC and consoles too.

Mike, I agree about the mic. It’s okay for chatting but not great for team communication. The sound quality is also a bit lacking for high-end games.
