Is This the Best All-Around Wireless Gaming Headset?

I’ve been on the hunt for a solid wireless gaming headset that works well on both PC and consoles. I recently bought the XYZ Wireless Headset because of the good reviews, but after a week of use, I ran into some issues. The sound quality is decent, but I notice some lag when playing fast-paced games, and the mic sometimes cuts out unexpectedly.

I chose this headset because it’s supposed to be versatile and comfortable for long gaming sessions, plus it’s compatible with both my PS5 and PC. However, I’m questioning if it’s actually the best all-around option or if I should consider other models. Has anyone else used this headset for both PC and consoles? Or is there a better choice that balances sound, comfort, and connectivity?

Would love to hear your experiences or suggestions before I make a decision!

I’ve used the XYZ headset on PC and PS5. The sound is good, but I agree about the occasional lag and mic issues. For the price, it’s decent, but not perfect.

Mike, have you tried updating the firmware? Sometimes that helps with lag and mic problems.

I switched to the Astro A50 for my PC and Xbox. The connectivity is much better, but it’s pricier. Still, the quality makes it worth it.

I’ve had no issues with my SteelSeries Arctis 9 on both PC and PS5. It’s super comfortable and reliable. Might be worth looking into.

Emma, how’s the battery life on the Arctis 9? That’s a big factor for me.

David, I get around 20 hours per charge, which is pretty good for my gaming sessions.

I think the choice depends on what’s more important to you—latency, comfort, or sound quality. The XYZ might be okay if you’re casual, but for competitive gaming, maybe look elsewhere.

Chris, good point. I’ve been eyeing the Logitech G935, anyone tried that for mixed use?

I have the G935 and it works great on both PC and consoles. No lag issues so far, and the sound is immersive.

Mark, how’s the mic quality on the G935? That’s often a deal-breaker for me.
