Micro-fictions, parodies… Kad Merad et Olivier Barroux vont relancer “Kamoulox” sur Canal+
The entertainment segment was a success on “La Grosse Emission” on Comédie! at the end of the 90s.
It’s the return of a iconic, albeit fake, show. Canal+ announced on Monday, March 9th in a press release the upcoming return of “Kamoulox”, the completely wacky entertainment show created by the duo Kad and Olivier. Kad Merad and Olivier Barroux had initially proposed this humorous segment to the radio, before making it a recurring segment of the Comédie! show, “La Grosse Emission”, which they hosted between 1999 and 2001.

In this new iteration of the cult Canal+ entertainment program, the program, renamed “Kamoulox+”, returns in an expanded version (although the basic concept of “Kamoulox”, a nonsensical board game, remains the same). “This Canal+ creation will offer original and absurd content, including micro-fiction, parodies, as well as new episodes of the “Kamoulox” program, details the press release. For their grand return, Kad Merad and Olivier Barroux will be joined by many guests.” The program will also feature the fake “Kamoulox+” platform, which will host many delirious programs. “Documentaries that don’t document, series in one episode and films in multiple, sporting competitions that no one wants the rights to, Kamoulox+, hosted by Canal+, it’s all this and much more”.” No broadcast date has yet been announced, as the program is currently in production.
La création est signée du duo Kad Merad et Olivier Barroux, qui n’avait pas re-collaboré ensemble sur un gros projet depuis le film “Mais qui a re-tué Pamela Rose ?”, en 2012. Du côté de la production, on retrouve Dominique Farrugia pour Shine Fiction (Banijay France) et le binôme d’humoristes (via la société Les Molambakais). Invité en 2020 sur Europe 1, Kad Merad, qui a depuis les années 2000 et son départ de Comédie ! joué dans des dizaines de films, avait raconté avec humour à quel point la création du “Kamoulox” lui avait collé à la peau. “Je ne serai jamais pris au sérieux à cause de tout ça, avait-il lancé. J’aurais voulu être un acteur un peu pris au sérieux, à qui on ouvre la porte ! Là rien du tout ! Kamoulox ! Kamoulox ! J’ai été nommé aux Emmy International Awards bon dieu ! Je suis allé à New York ! J’ai été battu par Kenneth Branagh. Mais tout le monde s’en fout“, avait-il raconté, faussement dépité. Six ans plus tard, le jeu le plus absurde du PAF est pourtant bel et bien de retour.
