Mike Tyson has delivered a fresh update on his fighting future.

The 59-year-old boxing legend previously revealed that he had agreed to face Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition bout scheduled to take place in Africa.

Tyson said the fight would be staged in the same ring in the Democratic Republic of Congo that hosted Muhammad Ali’s iconic “Rumble in the Jungle” against George Foreman in 1974.

The announcement sparked huge interest given the global appeal of both fighters. However, Tyson’s latest comments suggest the situation around his next fight may still be uncertain.

Tyson appeared to cast doubt on his fighting future during a recent interview clip shared by Source of Boxing on X (formerly Twitter).

When asked directly whether he would fight again, the former heavyweight champion initially avoided giving a clear answer. After the interviewer pointed out that he had already announced a fight, Tyson steered the conversation elsewhere.

“I’ve done a lot of things in my life, but right now I’m talking about the kids. Let’s talk about these guys,” Tyson replied.

Still, when the question was put to him again, Tyson admitted he was still unsure about what comes next in his career.

“I don’t know [if I’ll fight again]. I want to fight somebody,” he briefly stated.

His comments appear to contrast with his earlier confirmation that he had signed to face Mayweather in Africa, while ‘Money’ has two other events booked.
