The closures of the M25 this week that drivers should be aware of
Drivers on the M25 face a week of late-night disruption as major roadworks shut several junctions.
National Highways said a series of overnight closures will begin on Monday, March 16.
Work will run each night from 10pm until about 5am to 5.30am, finishing on the morning of Friday, March 20.
The work will close carriageways, slip roads and link roads at key points around the motorway.
Monday night M25 closures (March 16)
On Monday night, the clockwise M25 will shut between junctions 8 and 9.
The junction 8 clockwise entry slip road will also close.
Drivers heading for the M4 should expect delays as the clockwise link road at junction 15 closes.
Further west, the M25 anticlockwise will close between junctions 13 and 12.
Closures also include entry and exit slips, plus junction 29 and the junction 25 up-and-over road.
Near the M1 interchange, the clockwise entry slip and anticlockwise exit slip at junction 21A will close.
Overnight M25 closures for the rest of the week
On Tuesday night, many of the same closures return, including the closure between junctions 8 and 9.
The junction 17 clockwise entry slip road will also close overnight.
On Wednesday night, the closure switches to the anticlockwise side between junctions 9 and 8.
On the clockwise side, the junction 13 roundabout and the A308 link road will close.

On Thursday night, the anticlockwise closure between junctions 9 and 8 will continue.
A new closure will shut the clockwise M25 between junctions 16 and 17.
The link road from junction 15 to the M4 at junction 4B will also remain shut as the week of work ends.
Most closures are due to be lifted by around 5am to 6am, so daytime M25 traffic is expected to be largely unaffected.
Drivers travelling overnight or early are advised to follow signed diversion routes and check Traffic England for live updates before setting off.
National Highways diversion routes on the M25 are typically marked with a hollow square symbol on roadside signs.
