Thoughts on the ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (2024) Performance?

I’ve been eyeing the new ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (2024) for a while now, mainly for gaming and some creative work. After reading some reviews, I ran into mixed opinions about its performance, especially regarding thermal management and battery life. I want to make sure it’s worth the investment before pulling the trigger. Has anyone here tested it extensively? How does it really perform under heavy load? Should I get this or wait for a better model?

I’ve been using the F16 (2024) for a couple of weeks. Under gaming, it handles most titles well, but the thermals do get quite warm. Make sure to use a cooling pad.

Mike, does the thermal throttling affect performance much? And how’s the battery life when gaming or doing intensive tasks?

I own the previous model, and I’d say the 2024 version seems to have improved cooling. Still, it’s not the best for all-day unplugged gaming.

For creative work, does anyone know how the display fares? Is it color-accurate enough for photo editing?

I think the display is pretty good, but nothing beats professional-grade monitors. For casual editing, it’s fine.

David, does the performance hold up during multitasking? Like gaming while streaming or video editing?

From what I’ve read, the CPU and GPU performance is solid, but the battery drains fast during gaming sessions. Expect around 2 hours max.

Mark, does the battery life improve if you turn down the graphics settings or disable some features?

I’m debating between this and the ROG Zephyrus G14. Has anyone compared them? Which one offers better overall performance and value?

Tom, I’ve used both briefly. The ASUS TUF is a bit bulkier but more affordable, while the G14 is more portable and slightly better in thermal management. Depends on your priorities.
