Finding long-lasting love on E4’s Married At First Sight UK is rare, but it does happen – as one happy couple proved in the latest series reunion.

However, they are the only couple that has stayed together from the 2025 series as one split during final vows and three have said their goodbyes after the cameras stopped rolling.

The first reunion – filmed eight weeks after the show wrapped – aired back in November, where one couple announced their split, with more break-ups following in the weeks and months afterwards.

All the MAFS UK couples from the 2024 series had broken up by the time the six-month reunion filming had come around, including the strongest pair: Lacey and Nathan.

The strongest couples in this year’s experiment were Abi and John, Rebecca and Bailey as well as Davide and Keye. Leisha and Reiss, plus Leah and Leigh, also made it to the final vows.

The exes faced an awkward reunion.

In Liverpool, the bride had a beautiful home surrounded by her family and had built her business with loyal customers. In Brighton, the groom had his daughter, Blue, with his ex-partner, Lulu.

However, Bec ruled out that the distance wasn’t the reason they split up. She wrote on Instagram stories: “We filmed the reunion in June and we split the month after, when we were away for the weekend at a festival with some of the other cast members. The breakup completely broke me. I won’t drag Bailey’s name through the mud but there is no chance of us getting back together.”

Further details have since emerged that Bailey had called time on the relationship twice – once on a trip to Dublin, and for the second time at the festival. A devastated Bec had left the festival early, and Bailey had then slept with the best friend of fellow MAFS star April.

Before the big reveal, Bec spoke about the difficulty of keeping it a secret. She told Yahoo UK: “It’s so hard. I have people stop me in the supermarket and talk about MAFS, and then they ask me, and people will comment saying ‘she’s not wearing a ring.’ I don’t wear any rings at all, except when going out… obviously, I work in a clinic, so I can never have rings on.

“People always try to pick it apart and go, ‘Well, this might be happening, so she’s with him or she’s not with him,’ and we can’t say either way. I think that’s fun for everyone because everyone gets to go through it in real time with us as the show goes on.

“But it is hard to navigate because we’ve obviously come back from the show earlier in the year and carried on with our lives. Some people [are] together, some people [are] not together. So it has been really strange to navigate even before the show started airing, and even more difficult now because there are so many eyes on us.”

Davide and Keye broke up over a dating app row

It was a frosty reunion for Keye and Davide.

Davide and Keye split up over Keye going on dating app Grindr to speak to strangers, with Davide saying it “broke” his trust.

It led to a fraught encounter at the second reunion dinner party, as both looked devastated and rowed over whose fault the breakdown of their relationship had been.

But showing the care and maturity that they had been known for during much of the series, the exes then managed to bury the hatchet at the dinner table as Keye reassured Davide that he had been a great partner and they hugged it out.

In a lengthy message after their split, Davide wrote on Instagram: “In light of mine and Keye’s relationship status being shared, I just wanted to speak on the situation personally.

“My time on MAFS was honestly one of the most life-changing experiences of my life. From the start I showed up as my true self, I was vulnerable, open, and completely genuine. I went into the experiment with an open heart and a real hope of finding love and I did.

“Before the experiment I had already done a lot of work on myself, especially around my boundaries and trust. Trust has always been one of my biggest boundaries and I came into this experience knowing it was something I would never compromise again.

“The night in question (this happened 5 months ago), I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right. Out of my own insecurity I created a profile on Grindr to check whether Keye was on the app only to find that my gut feeling was correct.

Davide and Keye shared a kiss at the final vow ceremony on MAFS UK.

“That moment was painful and it made the trust between us break in a way I couldn’t move past. That’s why when it was broken, it was something I simply could not overcome. I won’t lie I was deeply hurt and shocked but with time, I’ve healed and found peace.

“Even through the pain I don’t regret being part of this journey. This experience pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. It taught me patience, communication and what it truly means to choose yourself after heartbreak.”

He added: “I don’t hold any bitterness towards Keye, he has taken accountability for his actions and I respect that. I genuinely wish him peace and happiness. Sometimes love doesn’t end the way we hope but it still leaves behind lessons that shape you for the better, for that I’ll always be grateful.”

Keye was the first to speak on their split and own up to going on a dating app which led to the end of their relationship.

He wrote on Instagram: “This is incredibly difficult to share, but I have always believed in being honest, even when it is uncomfortable.

“In the early hours of a Sunday morning, while Davide was on a flight, I downloaded Grindr. I want to be clear that I was not looking to cheat, hook up, or find someone else. I was in a dark and fragile place and reached for something unhealthy because I did not know how else to cope. What I was seeking had nothing to do with intimacy. It was an attempt to escape emotions I could not sit with, and I reached for substances when what I really needed was support.

“None of this excuses my actions. I understand how it looked and I understand why it hurt. Even without sexual intentions, I crossed a line and broke trust. I hate that Davide believed I was looking for someone else, because that was never the truth. But I fully accept the impact.

“When Davide found my profile through his, it cost me my marriage. That is something I carry with me every day. I have nothing but love for him. What we shared was real, both in the experiment and in the months after. He deserves the absolute best, and I am devastated that my choices caused him pain.”

He added: “Since then, I have been doing the work; therapy, accountability, and learning healthier ways to cope, so I never return to destructive patterns. It has not been easy, but it has been necessary.

“Looking back, I see how lost I was. The emotions are still raw, but I am learning to face them without running, numbing, or repeating the behaviors that hurt others and myself. Now is not the time to unpack our relationship. What matters is acknowledging the truth, the love, the mistakes, and choosing to move forward with honesty and growth.”

They had fireworks on their wedding day, and they were a fan favourite pairing throughout the series.

Their picture-perfect relationship was rocked by the Home Stay week, where Keye was uncomfortable in the cat café and joked about Greggs. This didn’t go down well with viewers at home.

Understanding, Davide told Yahoo UK: “It was a tough moment for both of us. Emotions were running high, and we were still learning how to communicate. I understood where his frustration came from — the dislike for cats and small spaces made him feel very overwhelmed, but I also knew it was a chance for us to learn from it. Every couple has moments like that; what matters is how you move forward together.”

Moving on, the couple got back to a good place ahead of the final vows. They committed to each other to see if it would work in the outside world. The couple were still going strong at the reunion airing on Thursday.

Asked about his biggest worry about the relationship, Davide told Yahoo UK: “My biggest worry was whether we’d both be ready for the outside world, because that’s when things get real. Inside the experiment, it’s intense but contained. Outside, it’s about balance, trust, and showing up every day.”

Leisha and Reiss broke up but follow each other

Leisha and Reiss had a rocky relationship as late arrivals on MAFS.

The rollercoaster turbulence of their relationship continued, and their final date ended in tears after Leisha was unhappy that Reiss had chosen a theme park as their destination. Outspoken Leisha was happily shouting she loved him, while a more reserved Reiss said he was heading that way but not ready to say it.

Their vow renewals were left on a cliffhanger with Reiss yet to deliver his verdict on the marriage until part two, where he had the chance to say “yes” to love.

Leisha and Reiss follow each other on Instagram but they confirmed in the reunion show on Thursday that their relationship was over. Candidly, Leisha admitted she was “gutted” that they had split.

It was reported that his TOWIE ex, Dani Imbert, ended speculation that she had got back with him after MAFS in an Instagram Q&A too.

Leah and Leigh split

Things are definitely over for Leah and Leigh.

Leah and Leigh were the will-they-won’t-they couple of the series. It was a shocker that the pair managed to make it all the way to the final vows, where they traded barbs instead of sweet nothings.

On arrival, Leigh had a dramatic black bow tied to the back of her white mini dress. Last year, bride Amy had chosen to wear black to declare her marriage to Luke was over.

Leigh and Leah ended their romance on Married At First Sight UK.

When Leigh read out her vows, Leah openly admitted that she “disagreed” with what was being said about their relationship. Their marriage went up in flames with a fiery exchange from both parties.

Leah then began dating footballer Maz Pacheco. Leigh claimed that Leah’s new girlfriend was the “girl in the bar” that she had got upset over her talking to on the show.

She wrote on Instagram stories: “Naturally, I was shocked as I’d watched myself in the experiment be persuaded that I’d overreacted for expressing my concerns at the time and had nothing to worry about.”
